Our culture thinks of beauty as being outward or physical. But doesn't this beauty often come across as shallow? It leaves me wondering if beauty could be something deeper than appearance.

Where is this deeper beauty found? I can tell you that it won't be found in any department store or makeup counter. It's found in your heart, personality, thoughts, and actions.

Being physically beautiful doesn't mean that you are inwardly beautiful.

"Woe unto you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto white sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness." (Matt. 23:27 KJV)

Although they looked good on the outside, the scribes and pharisees of Jesus' day were rotten on the inside. We should examine ourselves to see if we are inwardly beautiful.

People who are inwardly beautiful tend to genuinely care about others and are willing to serve. They're not looking out for themselves but are able to sense the needs of others.

As Christian girls, Our goal is not to become physically beautiful but to cultivate an inward beauty that reflects our Creator.

"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." (1 Cor. 7:1 KJV)

Are you inwardly beautiful?
