A grateful attitude can make a BIG difference in many ways. Yes, most people know to say “thank you” after checking out at the grocery store, or after someone gets the door for you, but do they have a grateful attitude? Or are they saying “thank you” because they were trained to. I sometimes forget to have a grateful heart, looking at blessings as if I deserved them.

Ezra 9:13: “And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;”

An attitude of gratitude is very important. It is a character quality that will bless others, and in return bless you. You can kind of put it this way, it keeps the world working at its best. When someone is grateful to me for something, it makes me want to work harder at what I did that made them grateful, and also makes me want to be more grateful to other people. It is a chain effect. Having an attitude of gratitude comes from thankfulness for all God is and the endless ways He blesses us minute by minute. Thankfulness is a beautiful habit that begins by praising God. Another plus to gratitude is it contagious, and is an amazing, but sometimes forgotten gift we all can share!

1 Chronicles 29:13 “Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.”
