Accepting the Way God Made You

But now, O Lord, Thou art our father; we are the clay, and Thou our potter; and we are the work of Thy hand. ~Isaiah 64:8 KJV
Is there something about you - your appearance, your personality - that you would change given the chance? Why? Don't you know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made? And, if you're born again, God sees you as perfect?

Do you think God made a mistake when He made you?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedth them. Are you not much better than they?Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit to his stature? ~Matthew 6:26-27 KJV
How could we accuse God, Who is in control of everything, of making a mistake? That's the essence of what we're doing when we can't accept how God made us.

We look at ourselves from a human perspective. We see the messy hair, pimples, and crooked teeth and count all our imperfections. We look at others and compare our faults to their strengths.

But God doesn't look at us in that way.
For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. ~1 Samuel 16:7 KJV

So, maybe we should start seeing ourselves as God sees us.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. ~Psalm 139:14 KJV
Can you praise God for how He made for you instead of trying to change it?
