For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. ~ Luke 9:56 KJV

A little while back we looked at contentment - being happy with where we are. Not being concerned about oursleves.

Today we're going to talk about sensitivity - being concerned about others.

We should be constantly on the lookout for the needs of others. How can we know what the people around us need?

Listen to what they're saying.

I did a post on the three ways to listen recently. Basically, people reveal a lot about themselves when they talk. So, listen closely to what they are saying or, in some cases, not saying.

If you want to be sensitive to others, than you must be willing to give. Give of yourself. Your time, your abilities, your love.

That's really what true friendship is. It's about being sensitive to your friend. Knowing them so well that you can tell when they want to talk or when they just need some space.
Look not every man to his own things, but every man also on the things of others. ~Philippians 2:4 KJV
Instead of focusing on ourselves and what we need, let's watch for what the people around us need.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another; ~Romans 12:10 KJV
