Living for Christ

Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. ~ 1 Corinthians 9:14 KJV
I think most of us understand this concept of living for Christ. We know that we're suppose to do everything to His glory. We know that we're suppose to trust Him in everything. We know that we're suppose to live in such a way that others can see Christ in us.

We're suppose to be different.

But are we?

In this messed up world we live in, it's so easy to be pulled into "the junk". The world's version of diamonds and pearls can look so appealing. And if we have our focus on earthly things, they are.

But as Christians, we should be looking to the heavenly things. And that's what will set us apart from the rest of the world.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break in and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break in nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. ~ Matthew 6:19-21 KJV
When our focus is on heaven, we can be different from the world and live for Christ more effectively. If we can truly understand that our actions and words affect others for or against Christ, we'll be a lot more careful to think about what we're doing and saying in order to represent Christ correctly.

What are some ways that living for Christ can impact those around us?
