Dealing with Brokenness

Monday, May 15, 2017

Does your life sometimes feel like it's just falling apart? Do you feel like you've been broken from the wear and tear of the world and the people around you?

Whether you feel broken from a person who's hurt you (which we'll talk about in a future post) or from the world's pressure/busyness, brokenness can sometimes feel hopeless (which we'll also talk about in a future post :P).

When you're climbing up "brokenness mountain", you may think that you should have been able to take whatever broke you. You may feel weak and vulnerable. You'll probably try to cover up your brokenness by putting up a façade of strength - but it's just that - a façade.

The undeniable truth about brokenness is that you'll never be the same again. Sure, you can put yourself back together but it won't be the same as it was before.

Because you'll never be able to put each piece back where it was originally.

But that's the beauty in brokenness.

Each piece fits in a new spot to make a better you.

You've got to believe that the brokenness you're feeling is ultimately for your own good.

Sometimes God has to break us to use us.

Because maybe that's when we'll start relying more on God for the strength we need.

  1. Excellent! "Brokenness mountain" is a very real place for many, but like you said, God uses it to make us better.
