Ecclesiastes 3: A Season for Everything

Monday, January 8, 2018

I'm so excited to finally start this little series... I've been planning it for a long time!

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven." ~Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
We all go through seasons in life. Times where we're happy and everything seems to be going our way or other times where we're confused and wonder what tomorrow holds.

In the very beginning, God intended there to be seasons in the weather.
"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years." ~ Genesis 1:14 KJV
And I kind of think that God made weather seasons to reflect the seasons in our lives. Almost to remind us that this is what He had planned all along.

God uses seasons in our life to grow us into the people He wants us to be.

He's with us in the good and the bad. And He's working out everything for our good.

These next couple of posts are going to examine Ecclesiastes 3 and the contrasts it makes. I absolutely love this passage of Scripture, and hope to be able to dive into the way God works through every single circumstance.

So, here we have really our first "Bible Study" I guess if you could call it that!

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season..." ~ Psalms 1:3 KJV
